Transform your Esher home with bespoke plantation shutters handcrafted by Bright Light Shutters—where timeless style meets practical design. Our made-to-measure window shutters have become a popular choice for homeowners who appreciate quality craftsmanship and functional elegance in every room.
Plantation shutters offer the ideal blend of aesthetic appeal and versatile performance, suited to Esher’s wide range of home styles. From Victorian terraces to newly built homes, our shutters are crafted to enhance your windows while giving you full control over light and privacy.
With adjustable louvres, you can direct sunlight exactly how you want it. Enjoy a soft, diffused glow throughout the day or close the louvres for more privacy and shade—whatever suits your mood or setting.
Investing in plantation shutters does more than elevate your décor. They improve thermal insulation, helping to regulate temperature and keep energy bills in check. Our shutters help block heat in summer while allowing airflow, creating a cooler indoor environment naturally.
Privacy is simple to manage too. Angled louvres obscure the view from outside without sacrificing natural light or your garden outlook. This makes them a particularly smart solution for ground-floor rooms or homes in closer quarters with neighbours.
Bright Light Shutters’ products are built for durability. Whether you choose premium hardwoods or waterproof UPVC, our shutters are low maintenance and designed to handle everyday use. They don’t fade, fray, or warp like curtains or fabric blinds, making them a wise long-term choice.
Our plantation shutters come in a wide selection of styles, materials, and finishes to suit your home’s personality. Classic white remains a favourite, but we also offer greys, creams, and natural wood tones for those looking to match existing interiors or create contrast.
Choose between Basswood and Paulownia for natural timber finishes or opt for our UPVC range in high-moisture areas like kitchens and bathrooms. All materials are sustainably sourced, with Paulownia being FSC-certified for eco-conscious households.
Louvre sizes can be tailored to match the proportions of your windows and the style of your interiors. Larger slats lend a more contemporary finish, while smaller ones add character to period-style properties.
As a local business with years of experience, we understand the quirks of Esher homes. Whether you’ve got bay windows, arches, or angled frames, our shutters are made to measure and professionally installed for a flawless fit.
Installation is straightforward and carried out with care and minimal disruption. Most jobs are completed in a few hours, with any finishing touches or adjustments handled on-site to ensure smooth operation and precise alignment.
We’ll also help you choose shutter configurations that work best for your windows. Whether it’s bi-fold panels for wider spans or tier-on-tier for added control, we’ll guide you through every step.
We begin with a free home consultation, where we measure your windows and discuss your design goals. Every order is fully customised, from material and colour to hinge finish and hardware detail.
If you need to colour-match your shutters to existing paintwork or furniture, we can arrange custom finishes. It’s all about delivering a cohesive and refined look throughout your home.
The hardware you choose—hinges, catches, tilt rods—will also influence both appearance and ease of use. We only use high-quality components to ensure your shutters stay smooth and solid for years to come.
Bright Light Shutters are easy to care for. A soft duster or vacuum brush attachment is usually all that’s needed to keep them clean. For deeper cleaning, a damp cloth will do the job without damaging the finish.
Wood shutters can benefit from occasional wood polish, while our painted finishes stay fresh with minimal effort. In bathrooms or kitchens, our UPVC range resists moisture and wipes clean effortlessly.
We also recommend checking hardware occasionally. A tiny bit of oil on hinges and moving parts can keep everything working smoothly and quietly.
While plantation shutters require an upfront investment, they more than earn their keep in durability, energy savings, and visual appeal. With Bright Light Shutters, you’re not only choosing high-end design—you’re choosing longevity.
Our shutters are guaranteed for up to 10 years, depending on the material. They’re a permanent feature that often adds value to your property, appealing to future buyers as much as they do to current homeowners.
Quotes include measuring, manufacturing, and installation—no hidden fees. We’re transparent from day one, and our customers appreciate the peace of mind that comes with expert service and lasting quality.
